
“Yerevan” Air Traffic Control (ATC) Center provides air traffic control services within the airspace of Republic of Armenia for aircraft performing departures, arrivals, and overflights, as well as for general aviation aircraft.
“Yerevan” ATC Center accommodates controller working positions for the Operational Supervisor, Area Control, Approach Control, Flight Information Service (FIS), and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM).
“Yerevan” ATC Centre also performs the following functions:
The ATC Center is equipped with the radio-technical facilities and systems required to meet modern air traffic management standards.
The air traffic control (ATC) control tower of Yerevan “Zvartnots” Airport has been operating since 2008. There are two control workstations located here: “Tower” and “Approach”, from where aerodrome control service for aircraft, as well as small aircraft, is carried out, including the processes of aircraft take-offs, landings and ground control.
The Air Traffic Control Tower at “Shirak” International Airport in Gyumri has been operational since 2006. It serves as the second most critical terminal air traffic control unit in the Republic of Armenia, delivering safe, orderly, and efficient air traffic services within its designated control zone and terminal control area (CTR/TMA).
Control Tower Services
The Flight Information Service (AFIS) Unit at “Syunik” Airport provides flight information and alerting services to aircraft operating within the airport environment and adjacent uncontrolled airspace.
