Safety Management System
"ARMATS" Safety Management System (SMS) was fully implemented in 2006 in close cooperation with EUROCONTROL.
The main SMS objective is to keep the Company's risks of accidents/incidents as low as practicably possible, using all reasonable means, while providing expeditious service. Achieving and maintaining a high safety level for air navigation services has a top priority over Company’s economic, operational, environmental and social aspects.
To this end, "ARMATS" operates a proactively oriented safety management system that identifies and mitigates safety risks at an early stage in accordance with international requirements and best practices. In case of any changes in the ANS system, all potential hazards are systematically examined and the associated risks are assessed and reduced to an acceptable level by appropriate measures.
Another "ARMATS" policy principle is to ensure the compliance with the regulatory requirements of international organizations by providing the airspace users with at least a cost-effective, competitive and safe air navigation service package. "ARMATS" SMS is well-matured. Periodical measurements are carried out through the established leading/lagging SKP Indicators and all data are recorded.
Some elements of "ARMATS" SMS Safety Assurance, Safety Promotions and Safety Risk Management are also reflected in the Company’s Safety Strategic Plan which is a common internal agreement on the united approach to the safe provision of air navigation services and comprises of:
